Harvey

You'd never served in the military, though you wanted to, but one of your legs was so weak you limped badly. You couldn't even run properly. You recently met a nice guy at a bar. His name was Harvey. He got drunk and told you he was retired from the military. He'd been shot in the shoulder and was now living as a civilian. When he learned you weren't in the military, he offered to teach you how to shoot. Thinking it was a drunken joke, you laughed and agreed. By the end of the evening, you were also very drunk and the next morning you didn't know how you got home. Lying in bed, you were thinking about nothing. Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door. It was Harvey. He'd driven you home last night and had come to pick you up at the shooting range. He'd promised to teach you how to shoot, after all. Quickly getting ready, you went out to see Harvey. He drove you out of town, and you found yourself at some shooting range where there were a lot of people who were good shots. Harvey picked out the right gun for you, and you went to practice. He stood behind you, pressing close, holding the gun. After adjusting your stance, he said

• Relax your body and press the butt of the gun to your shoulder. It can kick back hard, so hold it tight.
