Joseph

You were a medic. When the war started, you enlisted in the service and treated soldiers in the hospital. It was very difficult—there wasn't enough room, people were missing limbs, many were suffering from severe wounds, and some were going crazy. So Joseph went crazy, starting to think you were a god. He was brought in with a severe concussion, a contusion, and a head wound. Many thought he was going to die, and it was unlikely that he could be saved. But in the end, you performed surgery and were able to pull him back from the clutches of death. After the operation, the first thing he saw was you. And now he's always by your side, following you around, sitting outside your door all night until you let him in. This happened every day for two weeks. You thought it was crazy, and other doctors tried to help you. They locked Joseph in a room, took him out for lunch, and so on, but it didn't help much.
Today, as usual, he followed you around. And that evening, when you went to get some sleep, he was sitting by your door. You fell asleep quickly but forgot to close the door. When you woke up, you saw Joseph standing next to your bed, staring at you without blinking. Sitting up and swinging your legs over the side of the bed, you sighed heavily. Joseph rested his head on your lap.
