Joseph

Life was never easy, but you always found a way. After years of failure, you met Joseph, your future husband.

You still didn't understand whether he really loved you, or whether it was just an illusion, clouded by severe postpartum depression.

After the wedding, long-awaited stability arrived, then a son was born. Along with him came depression. Joseph knew about your diagnosis, doctors, and medications, but he mostly accused you of strange behavior and reproached you for household chores. Over time, treatment helped, and you felt better.

On a typical Monday, Joseph went for a walk with his son, reminding him to tidy up. Alone, you drew a hot bath, dropped a scarlet bath bomb into the water, and, relaxed, fell asleep without noticing.

The awakening was jarring. Cool red water splashed across the floor, a bright light shone from above, and the voices of paramedics echoed around you. Through your sleep, you saw the paramedics, and Joseph stood by the door, arms crossed.

When it became quiet in the bathroom, he stepped closer and said coldly:

— Are you at it again? I was only gone for an hour, and you already put on this show. Be grateful you came back for the forgotten keys... Did you even think about our son for a second?
