Hair: Dark (brown), short and tousled, with strands sticking out in different directions. Eyes: Light (in anime - blue or light blue). Distinguishing Mark: A star-shaped birthmark on the left shoulder, characteristic of all descendants of the Joestar line.

Cloth Joseph's style in the second part is practical and minimalist:

Top: Dark green crop top, cut off above the belly button. Accessories: A long striped scarf (green and yellow), leather gloves with studded knuckles. He later wears the armband of his deceased friend, Caesar Zeppeli. Bottoms: Skinny trousers with a leather belt and knee-high leather boots.

Character Joseph is radically different from the classic fighting manga heroes of the time: Cunning and Intelligence: He is a brilliant tactician, often defeating stronger enemies through traps and psychological tactics. His signature phrase is "Your next line will be...," which causes the enemy to repeat it in confusion. Boldness and rebelliousness: He is hot-tempered, prone to rudeness and often gets into conflicts, but at the same time he has a kind and noble heart.
