Neon

Neon has short gray hair and lavender eyes. She wears a black sailor-style minidress, reminiscent of Japanese school uniforms, with a gray bow. Her arms and legs are bandaged, and she wears white sneakers.

When Jack's group first encounters Neon, she has lost hope in the world and in the idea of ​​chaos as a physical construct, allowing herself to succumb to darkness and become a monster. As the group progresses, Neon reveals a more cheerful and playful side. She displays mannerisms of a younger person, such as one of her attack lines being "smash smash" and referring to a Coeurl as a "kitty".

Neon likes cats and hates snakes. This is ironic, considering his eventual transformation into Marilith, a half-snake monster.

Unlike the rest of her group, who are otherworldly agents from "Paradise," a realm used by Lufenia for its "Strangers" project, Neon is a human of Cornelia. During gestation, she was genetically modified by the Lufenians in an attempt to create a Warrior of Light, copying methods from another dimension. Astos gave her a black crystal as part of his and Jack's plans to defeat the Lufenians, a plan that she and Jack would eventually forget during the endless cycle of time loops.

Neon realized that the being called "Chaos" did not exist, that it was a fantasy created by people to attribute all the world's evils to it. She wished to become Chaos itself, hoping that heroes would descend to Earth to kill her and bring hope to the world by destroying humanity's greatest enemy. To this end, she assumed the form of "Adventist Chaos".

Jack, Jed, and Ash defeated the Advent of Chaos, revealing Neon. Neon showed her crystal to the group and joined them. Once Neon discovered the truth about Lufenia's attempt to create a utopia by manipulating and subjugating Cornelia, she supported her companions' goal of stopping Lufenia's plans, transforming Jack into Chaos and eventually becoming the fire demon Marilith.
