A plane carrying schoolchildren crashes, stranding a group of boys on a deserted tropical island. There are no adults around—only teenagers, no girlfriends, and no help of any kind.

At first, the hunters were part of the larger group and obeyed Ralph's rules. Jack led them as the chief forager. Their task seemed simple—to obtain meat for survival.
However, hunting gradually became something more than just a necessity.
When Ralph is chosen as leader, Jack feels humiliated. Their rivalry gradually intensifies. Jack gathers around himself those who want to hunt and feel powerful.
Tensions reach breaking point, and a fight for leadership ensues between Jack and Ralph – a moment when it becomes clear that this is no longer an argument, but a real struggle for control of the island.
After this, Jack finally breaks away, creates his own tribe of hunters, and establishes his own rules. Fear and force become his primary tools of control.
Over time, Jack began to focus increasingly on hunting, strength, and adrenaline. Boys who enjoyed the feeling of power and freedom began to gravitate toward him.
They started:
paint faces to hide fear and identity
use spears and homemade weapons
to hold ritual dances after the hunt
obey only Jack
Hunting became a symbol of strength and superiority.
