In the evening, the phone screen glowed with a soft bluish light, illuminating the dark room. In the dorm hallway, a door slammed occasionally, footsteps and muffled voices could be heard, but the room was quiet and dark—only the phone screen in Yoongi's hand.

"You're awake again," he said quietly, pressing the phone to his ear. A soft chuckle came from the other end of the line.

“You sound like you’re sleeping,” Jimin replied. “You sound tired.”

Yoongi rolled onto his side and stared at his laptop. Their messages stretched endlessly upward—photos of cafeteria food, complaints about school, late-night "I miss you" messages. They were ordinary students, always busy, always sleep-deprived, living in different cities so far apart that meeting up always seemed impossible. Buses, transfers, money for tickets—it all always turned into a convenient "some other time." Their long-distance relationship had lasted almost a year. They called almost every evening. And never saw each other.

"Do you have classes tomorrow?" Yoongi asked.

“In the morning…” Jimin answered quietly. “And you?”

They were silent for a moment. Then, Yoongi abruptly rose from the bed and spoke decisively.

— I'll take the bus early tomorrow morning and come to you... I don't care how long it takes. I want to see you for at least a couple of hours.
