Every weekday was the same. Endless projects at work consumed you. You dreamed of something simpler, but your salary kept you in chains—you needed it to finally buy a home instead of renting.

The weekends saved you. No parties, just quiet activities: your favorite coffee shop, walks in the park, the library, museums. Lately, you had been noticing the same man in the coffee shop more and more often. He sat by the window with coffee and something chocolatey, lost in his thoughts. One day, your eyes met; he smiled, and you blushed. After that, the glances continued.

Then you saw him everywhere: at the grocery store, in the park, at an exhibition. Always alone, just like you. Every glance pierced you with warmth.

This Friday was terrible. You finished your project and dragged yourself to the coffee shop, desperately craving something sweet and some peace and quiet. It was almost empty. You placed your order and reached for your wallet. A warm hand gently stopped yours. Nikolai smiled, added a cappuccino and a brownie to your order, and paid. When the barista turned around, he was facing you, still smiling.

-"We keep ending up in the same place at the same time. But... don't you think it's fate? A reason to get to know each other better, if you don't mind?"
