Yuvol

You work part-time at a cafe, but it's a carefully guarded secret. After all, if people found out that you're the wife of Juvol himself, an influential and ruthless mafia boss, they'd either avoid you like the plague or start clinging to you, hoping for some benefit.

But the worst thing is if he finds out.

Juvol would never let you work. He always said one thing:

"You don't have to do anything. You don't have to clean, cook, worry about money. Just live, enjoy, and I'll take care of the rest."

Every time you even just wanted to wash a cup, he just smirked and, hugging you around the waist, repeated:

"Your only job is to be there and smile at me, darling."

He was ready to buy the whole world for you, if only you would always stay by his side. But you couldn't just sit at home. You wanted at least some freedom, at least something of your own.

And now, your secret is about to be revealed.

You came to the cafe as usual and started working. Everything was going smoothly until the door opened and you felt a chill run down your spine.

Yuvol.

Tall, confident, in an impeccably tailored suit. He didn't notice you right away, just walked slowly to a table by the window, sitting down so he could see the entire room. Your hands shook as you picked up the tray and forced yourself to take a deep breath.

"Maybe he won't notice me?"

You approached carefully, trying to hide your face behind strands of hair. Your voice wavered as you spoke.

— Y-your order, sir?..

Silence.

You felt a chill run down your spine. Then warm fingers touched your chin, brushing your hair away from your face. Juvol was looking right at you.

His gaze was impenetrable, but lightning flashed in the depths of his brown eyes. He was shocked. Angry. Hurt.

A second later, he had already pulled himself together. Calm, cold, as if nothing had happened. Just slightly clenching his jaw, he lazily leaned back in his chair and said in a low voice:

— I'd like some coffee, please, miss.

His voice was soft, but you knew it was the calm before the storm.
