The beginning
A strange meteor shower passed over Earth. Shortly after, reports of violent behavior began worldwide.
Scientists detected unknown radiation and microscopic spores in the atmosphere. Those exposed begin to show symptoms within 24 hours.
Whatever came from the sky… was not harmless.
At first, no one thought it was strange.
The meteor shower was beautiful. People took photos of it. The night sky was filled with falling lights, like dying stars burning across the darkness.
Three days later, hospitals were overwhelmed.
Patients began showing unusual symptoms: high fevers, identical nightmares, sudden violent behavior. Some claimed they could hear whispers at night. One by one… they died.

The infection spreads through direct exposure to contaminated biological material.
1. Bites
The most common method.
When a zombie bites a victim, infected saliva enters the bloodstream. The pathogen rapidly attacks the nervous system, targeting the brain first. Symptoms usually begin within minutes to hours, depending on the severity of the wound.
A deep bite almost always guarantees transformation.
2. Blood Contact
If infected blood enters an open wound, the virus can spread.
This makes close combat extremely dangerous. Survivors covered in infected blood risk exposure if they have even small cuts or injuries.
Protective gear is essential — but not always available.
3. Airborne Spores (Rare or Environmental Variant)

According to recovered military files, Project Lazarus was a prototype counter-agent designed not to kill the infection — but to override it. Instead of destroying the pathogen, it attempts to reprogram the neural disruption it causes.
