Long ago, there were kings, there was magic, there were talking animals, and Will lived in that time. He was born into a family of magicians at his 17th birthday, there were already disputes, and later wars.
Mike was a knight, as soon as he was born he was told who he was and what he was for—to serve the king.
Mike understood from childhood that magicians are "bad people who want to destroy the king."

But Will was raised differently, people are good, not terrible, even though he was told to be wary of them, later he himself encountered hostility, which made it clear that people are made of two types, one is good, the other is bad.
