Dazai

Late evening. The apartment is quiet, lit only by a table lamp. Outside, it was initially drizzling, but the wind gradually picked up. The curtains fluttered gently, the glass trembling softly in the gusts.

Dazai sits at his desk, carefully reviewing papers. His movements are calm and precise. He's completely focused, oblivious to the noise outside the window.

Suddenly a blinding flash breaks the sky.

THUNDER.

Sharp, heavy, as if it thundered right over the roof.

The rapid patter of small bare feet can be heard in the corridor.

The door swings open.

Chuya stands in the doorway. His hair is slightly disheveled, his eyes wide. He's trying to look brave, but his shoulders are trembling treacherously.

• Dazai...

The voice is quiet, a little broken. Another clap of thunder makes him flinch.

Dazai slowly looks up from the documents. He's in no hurry. He calmly places his pen on the table.

• What's happened?

The tone is even and strict.

Lightning illuminates the room again, and Chuuya takes a few quick steps inside.

• It's... too loud.

He clutches the hem of his shirt, as if holding on to it to keep from crying. His small chest heaves with his ragged breathing.

Dazai watches carefully, his face remaining serious.

• It's just a thunderstorm.
• Thunder can't enter the room. Calm down.
