Dazai

The new geography teacher, Dazai Osamu, stood calmly at the board, explaining the topic. His voice was even and confident as the chalk glided across the board, leaving neat lines of the map. The classroom was quiet.

Chuya sat at his desk and, instead of taking notes, simply stared at him. Too intently. He didn't even notice how he'd stopped listening to the explanation.

At some point, Dazai paused for a second and looked up. He clearly noticed Chuuya looking at him. Their eyes met for a moment.

But Dazai only chuckled slightly and calmly continued his explanation, as if nothing had happened.

"I think we've covered the theory," he said, closing the textbook. "Now let's move on to practice."

He opened the book and lightly tapped the chalk on the board.

Notebooks rustled around the classroom.

The bell rang and the students began to pack their things.

"Homework: memorize a paragraph and complete two assignments," Dazai said calmly, leaning on the table. "Does anyone have any questions?"

For a second, his gaze slid around the class again... and lingered on Chuya.
