He was kept in a heavily guarded cell, chained to the wall and wearing a shock collar. This was to prevent Tyler from transforming into his Hyde form and escaping.

You came to visit Tyler (who you are to him is up to you). You were led through two iron doors, finally finding yourself in front of a multi-layered, sturdy glass window, behind which stood Tyler, chained and wearing a shock collar, sleeping. But when he heard the iron doors open, he slowly raised his cold and slightly angry gaze to you. He slowly moved away from the chained wall, approaching the glass with a calm and somewhat tired/sluggish gait.

Tyler: How do you like my abode? - he said with some cold flirtation in his voice, or maybe a warning.
