001 - Dark Cacao Cookie and Shadow Milk Cookie

Personality part 2: As the antagonistic counterpart to Head Icon Pure Vanilla Cookie and the original owner of his Soul Jam, Shadow Milk Cookie embodies deception and chaos rather than truth and healing. He sees Pure Vanilla Cookie as both an unlawful thief of his power and a naive would-be savior doomed to also fall into despair, and thus torments him with truths and untruths alike. Similarly, he is more than eager to inflict anguish upon Head Icon Elder Faerie Cookie and Head Icon White Lily Cookie, two Cookies who also stand against his return to power.

Although Shadow Milk Cookie behaves with sardonic playfulness, unwelcome changes to his script from his audience can cause him to drop his act completely, as if his personality was nothing more but a facade for the blackness and fury that drives him. Behind that blackness may lie an even deeper, more delicate truth that drives him, hidden deep in a crevice of his soul where not even its owner dares to look. Ever the showman however, Shadow Milk Cookie composes himself quickly to reshape his show to accommodate such unforeseen developments, as long as his grand plan remains in place. A perfectly-executed "finale" is the only means for him to revel in wicked, merciless laughter, standing as the only soul to ever truly understand the dark performances that he orchestrates.

Personality: Shadow Milk Cookie was once a heralded champion of all Cookies, baked and empowered by the Witches themselves alongside the other Beasts. He was granted the divine Virtue of Knowledge, becoming known as the Fount of Knowledge. However, despite his nigh-omniscient perception of the world, he saw how Cookies often shied away from bitter Truths and chose to believe in sweet Deceits instead. Now he is a cruel and manipulative soul, casting himself as a mere entertainer to purposely contrast the destructive consequences of his chaos, to bring about "a world where lies and truths can't be told apart."

Shadow Milk Cookie is a theatrical villain, changing reality into an illusory counterfeit stage to host his performances. He holds himself in cartoonishly-high regard throughout these shows, showering himself in praises and titles whilst forcing his victims to stand audience. Unlike what his clownish appearance suggests, he is mercilessly conniving and intelligent, presenting bits of precious truth to entice his enemies to play along. However, such showmanship and promises of clarity primarily serve as a means for him to corrupt his victims with a deluge of poisonous ideas, slowly twisting their goals to his own ends. He relishes in making a spectacle of his enemies through his performances, battering them with bombastic lies interwoven with undeniable truths. Should opportunities to drive his hapless targets even further off the precipice of morality present themselves, Shadow Milk Cookie does not even hesitate to pursue them, even at the ultimate cost of his grand plans.

Appearance: Shadow Milk Cookie is a spindly, average height Cookie with powder blue dough and two differently colored eyes: one cyan right eye with a black slit pupil and black eyelashes, and one cerulean left eye with a white slit pupil and white eyelashes. His mouth is sapphire blue and sly, having teeth which change between straight and sharp depending on his emotions. About his right eye is a pale blue, claw-shaped marking. He has white locks of hair near his face—two that fall against his forehead and one slicked back—azure curled sidelocks, and glossy, sharp, long hair in a dual-toned shadow and lapis style that resembles the extents of a jester's hat. Hidden in the shadows of his hair are ghostly eyes that ogle onlookers and change to match his emotions.

Shadow Milk Cookie wears an obsidian harlequin unitard with turquoise diamond appliques. His sleeves take a bishop style, his right sleeve having a pale Columbia blue base and his left a black base, both with sapphire accents and wide cuffs resembling whipped cream. The jester wears a ruff collar from which hang curling coattails with a ghostly blue lining and a black outside. Upon its lining are more gazing eyes. He wears his eye-like Soul Jam of Deceit as a brooch on his collar in the same place that Pure Vanilla Cookie wears his own Soul Jam. Shadow Milk Cookie also holds a jester hat split into black and cobalt halves, having a milk-splash crown about its rim and blueberry-shaped pompoms at its extending tassels. He holds a thin black staff with a blueberry eyeball handle and another milk design at its neck, its eye-like design being a direct reflection of Head Icon Pure Vanilla Cookie's own orchid staff.

Skill

Act 1: Lies Base Cooldown 11 sec Initial Cooldown 2 sec Act 1: Lies Skill icon Shadow Milk Cookie channels the energy of his other-realm to begin a grand spectacle of Deceit. Inflicts Puppet Show at the enemy with the lowest Max HP (targets Cookies first excluding Safeguarded Cookies). The opponent's Shadow Milk Cookie cannot become a target unless no other possible targets are left. Puppet Show can also be applied to Cookies who are resistant to interrupting effects. For the duration of Puppet Show, both the target and the nearby enemies sustain periodic damage. The effect ends with a Grand Finale. Grand Finale deals damage to all enemies, deals damage proportional to Puppet Show's target, and applies Taint on them. If the target is defeated before the end of Puppet Show's duration, a Soul Phantom will appear in their place. A portion of the damage sustained by the Soul Phantom until the end of Puppet Show will be inflicted as Grand Finale's extra damage.

If Shadow Milk Cookie is defeated, he will assume his Shadow Form. He will summon his Puppet to fool the enemies and retreat to the other-realm where he will gain Power of Deceit. The Shadow Form effect will last until the Puppet is defeated.

At the beginning of the battle, Shadow Milk Cookie will summon the Eye of Truth. Depending on the number of debuffs received by the team, including Shadow Milk Cookie himself, the Eye of Truth will gain stacks of Truth. More stacks of Truth will be gained whenever Shadow Milk Cookie uses his skill. At a certain number of stacks, the Eye of Truth will remove all debuffs from the team and increase the amount of damage dealt by Shadow Milk Cookie at the expense of a greater amount of damage received.

When Shadow Milk Cookie gains Power of Deceit, the Eye of Truth will transform into the Eye of Deceit, periodically gaining new stacks of Truth. At a certain number of stacks, it will emit a Tenet of Deceit, dealing damage and resetting the duration of Taint on the target

Shadow Milk Cookie (Korean: 쉐도우밀크 쿠키, swedoumilku kuki) is one of the five Beast Cookies of Cookie Run: Kingdom. He was the third to be released, being made playable alongside Candy Apple Cookie in the Spire of Shadows update after first appearing as an NPC in the Secrets of the Silver Kingdom update. He is of the Magic type and his position is prioritized to the Middle.

Heralded long ago as the benevolent Fount of Knowledge, Shadow Milk Cookie is the antithesis of what his Witch-given purpose once was: he is a malicious trickster who relishes in chaos, confusion, and inequity. This sly entertainer spends his immortality in the Spire of Deceit, gaily weaving untruths and scheming to release Earthbread from its shackles of virtue with his lackeys Candy Apple Cookie and Black Sapphire Cookie. Behind his mask of mirth, however, lies a lonely soul whose disillusionment wore him down to the cruel, manipulative individual he is today.

Shadow Milk Cookie wields the power of Deceit, a corrupted side of the Virtue of Knowledge he once held. He was the original owner of Pure Vanilla Cookie's Soul Jam, being stripped of it upon his descent into villainy.

Game Description: "Ahh, welcome, welcome! Why the surprised look? Oh, but we've met before, or have you forgotten? For I am the shadow living in your soul—a lie!" What could have happened to this Cookie, once heralded as the Fount of Knowledge, that made him become the Master of Deceit.(sic) Eons ago, when Earthbread was still young, the radiance of Knowledge was born to bless all that was with meaning. Yet, in the shadow cast by this light, dwelled its twin, Deceit. With time, all those disenchanted with the bitter Truth turned their eyes to the alluring tapestry of lies spun by the silver-tongued trickster. Masterfully juggling truths and falsehoods on the scene of a whimsical shadowplay, Shadow Milk Cookie has perfected his craft of shattering beliefs of the most stoic in a myriad of treacherous reflections.

Personality part 2: Dark Cacao Cookie wields the Light of Resolution due to his will and determination to protect not just his kingdom, but all of Earthbread. When asked by Head Icon Cloud Haetae Cookie what his wish was, he confessed that his wish was simply to keep protecting his kingdom. He proved that he was willing to go to extreme extents, such as slashing Head Icon Mystic Flour Cookie's cocoon open to protect his kingdom from the disease that she had unleashed, even if the cocoon was supposedly to help all of cookie kind. Upon witnessing his warriors turning into flour, he commanded Mystic Flour Cookie in desperation to lift their illness off them and fight only him for his sword. When the last remaining one, Head Icon Caramel Arrow Cookie, turned into flour, he shouted and threatened Cloud Haetae Cookie before breaking down, demonstrating his absolute care and love for his subjects, and unwavering willingness to protect them.

Deep down, as Mystic Flour Cookie points out, Dark Cacao Cookie has fears of not just losing his subjects but all of his efforts to protect his kingdom would be for naught, that he might be forgotten by his people. It’s that fear that released the Black and White dragons he once fought all those years ago, but his light of Resolution. But even then, there were still some embers of resolution within his heart, and from those embers grew a flame, then he had a realization, his kingdom is a great kingdom with or without him and he made sure that even if he was to crumble, he would make sure his descendants would never have to be forced to live in a world of futility. And so he forfeited his fears and insecurities, summoned the two dragons by his side, awakened his full power and faced off against the beast. After that, he vowed to bring balance of rest and work in his life.

Personality: Dark Cacao Cookie is the strict and protective monarch of the Dark Cacao Kingdom. While an Ancient Hero who earns the respect of his subjects, his words hint that he has grown weary of such duty. Despite this, his resolve to protect his kingdom and Earthbread allows him to continue bearing the responsibilities he swore to uphold. Dark Cacao Cookie is also quite stoic, his emotions are muted and reserved unless caught in certain situations, such as being in battle or seeing Head Icon Pure Vanilla Cookie for the first time since the Dark Flour War. Additionally, Dark Cacao Cookie has a temper that can cause conflict between him and other Cookies, such as Head Icon Clotted Cream Cookie and his estranged son, Head Icon Dark Choco Cookie.

Dark Cacao Cookie puts great trust in his warriors and relies on them to execute his commands. However, his belief in his kingdom has made him vulnerable to Cookies like Head Icon Affogato Cookie who feigned loyalty with his ulterior motives. His social exclusivity has also led him to be the first among the Ancient Heroes to distrust outsiders such as Clotted Cream Cookie.

Skill: Replaces Solemn Judgment; however, level-ups are shared between the two skills.

Awakened King: Base Cooldown 13 sec Awakened King Skill icon With his newly found strength, swings the Chocoblade to deal damage, inflict Injury and Fatal Wound, and apply a CRIT DMG debuff. After this, Dark Cacao Cookie will borrow the strength of the Twin Dragons for a forceful downward strike, increasing Darkness-type damage and applying Consuming Darkness and Gloom.

At the beginning of battle, Dark Cacao Cookie will increase the allies' DMG Resist with a Royal Decree. Inspired by his Kingly Presence, he will gain increased DEF and Max HP and Charge Cookies will gain increased ATK. Channel Darkness will become more efficient for Dark Choco Cookie, and his DMG Resist will increase. Dark Cacao Cookie (Dragon Lord) (Korean: 용군주: 다크카카오 쿠키, yong-gunju: daku-kakao kuki) is the Awakened version of Head Icon Dark Cacao Cookie released alongside Head Icon Peach Blossom Cookie in the Dark Resolution's Glorious Return update (v5.6). He is the first Ancient Hero to Awaken. He is of the Charge Charge type and his position is prioritized to the Front Front.

After nearly returning to flour courtesy of Head Icon Mystic Flour Cookie, the fiery Resolution in his heart grew stronger — the same fire that protected his kingdom from the creatures of the Licorice Sea. He defied Mystic Flour Cookie's idea of enlightenment and allied with the dragons who were once bound to his sword and Awoken.

Game Description Once, a lone sovereign's head bowed in despair behind the impenetrable walls of his castle. Shrouded in darkness, his past was riddled with trials and tribulations—challenges that would have crumbled ordinary Cookies. Enemies tried to infiltrate the walls, greedy hands sought the crown, and even his own son betrayed him. Despite his bitter and destitute life, two things never lost their shine: his pride as a ruler and his resolve, pitch dark as obsidian. Even when his dough crumbled from scaling the rocky mountains, even when he lost everything and everyone dear to him, his resolution remained unwavering and true.
