005 - Dark Cacao Cookie

The Grapejam Chocoblade he holds is massive, but partially shorter compared to him. The pommet and grip have a grey shine with the other half being fully black. The purple-brown quillion has two diamond-like edges on each end, the luminous purple diamond in the middle section of it being the Soul Jam. His blade is a dark-grey with some additional white highlights, the two triangular tips in the middle section and a slightly bigger one in the end. The blade also has two star shaped symbols in the middle.

Personality Dark Choco Cookie is a quiet, reserved individual. He has very low self-esteem, but wanting to be the best version of himself, striving to be a worthy heir to the crown. Truly, the only instances in which Dark Choco Cookie expresses confidence are when acknowledges the fearful power the Strawberry Jam Sword has given him. When interacting with those he has no obligation to oppose, he is relatively polite though he can become short towards others.

Appearance: Dark Choco Cookie is a Cookie of russet brown complexion and a tall, broad build. His carmine right eye sits half-lidded in a pensive expression; the other is forced shut from an old scar which vertically scores it. His lips generally portray no emotion and his brow is slightly furrowed by default. The knight's hair is straight and cut a simple, middle-part bob, taking a deep raven color with two bold streaks of white like that of Head Icon his father. His hair is often rendered with dim red rim-lighting to provide contrast against the rest of his design, though this is only a stylistic choice.

Dark Choco Cookie's getup is very modest and unobtrusive, befitting his quiet personality. He wears simple black plate armor detailed with a distinguishable fauld, greaves, and pauldrons. Offset from his base armor is a grim mantle on his shoulders, having a large, deep cacao cloak that envelops his body, and two oversized, semicircle pauldrons. The pauldrons emulate two halves of an Oreo cookie: each consists of two outer onyx layers sandwiching a creamy white center, much like the real-life sandwich cookies. Their outer layers are each emblazoned with a wine purple concentric design of a circle surrounded by alternating diamonds and starbursts, also resembling the embossed pattern of an Oreo.

Prior to the events of Citadel of the Frozen Cliff, Dark Choco Cookie would always be seen toting the cursed Strawberry Jam Sword. This medieval-style greatsword has a broad, white steel blade; its ricasso is thin and long and its weak juts out in a diamond shape. The hilt consists of a cross guard of two symmetrical elements akin to Dark Choco Cookie's outer pauldrons, a rainguard supporting a menacing ruby in a starburst shape, and a simple grip and pommel, all taking a dark slate tone.

Dark Choco Cookie (Korean: 다크초코 쿠키, daku-choko kuki) is an Epic Cookie available since launch. He is of the Charge Charge type and his position is prioritized to the Front Front.

Dark Choco Cookie is the son ofDark Cacao Cookie and the prince of the Dark Cacao Kingdom. He plays a leading role in the Dark Mode Story, and a major role in the stories of Snow on the Black Wall and Citadel of the Frozen Cliff.

Personality: Dark Cacao Cookie is the strict and protective monarch of the Dark Cacao Kingdom. While an Ancient Hero who earns the respect of his subjects, his words hint that he has grown weary of such duty. Despite this, his resolve to protect his kingdom and Earthbread allows him to continue bearing the responsibilities he swore to uphold. Dark Cacao Cookie is also quite stoic, his emotions are muted and reserved unless caught in certain situations, such as being in battle or seeing Head Icon Pure Vanilla Cookie for the first time since the Dark Flour War.

Appearance part 2: Inner Tunic (Stylized Jeogori/Durumagi) Cut and Texture. The long-sleeved tunic fits cleanly across the torso, leaving room for movement at the chest and sleeves. The fabric has a soft matte sheen—like washed silk or heavy satin—that contrasts with the robe’s muted texture.
Dongjeong Collar. A crisp white band encircles the neckline, known as the dongjeong in traditional hanbok. It stands out against the dark purple, pressed with precision and evoking tradition within a modern reinterpretation.
Chest Emblem. Centered on the chest is a large circular emblem, symmetrical and geometric. Its white and light gray motifs resemble a stylized sun, radiating outward in clean lines and arcs. The embroidery is dense and slightly raised, like a badge of rank or clan identity.

Belt (Stylized Heori-tti) and Sleeves Belt. A wide belt cinches the waist in vivid magenta, echoing the robe’s lining. It features subtle light gray detailing—linear motifs and small diamond shapes. The knot or clasp is centered and neat, with a short trailing end that adds vertical rhythm.
Sleeves and Cuffs. The tunic’s sleeves are long and generously cut, typical of hanbok design. The cuffs appear “gloved” in black—either a secondary layer or a lining that peeks out—adding contrast and a sense of protection.

Lower Garment and Footwear Skirt and Baji. The tunic extends downward, concealing the legs. The silhouette suggests a wide baji (traditional hanbok pants) beneath, with pleats that allow for ease of movement. The length is ceremonial, nearly reaching the ankles.
Shoes. The shoes are simple and black, low-cut and unadorned. Their matte finish anchors the ensemble without drawing attention, reinforcing the character’s grounded presence.

Appearance: Dark Cacao Cookie is a tall Cookie with carafe brown dough and an intimidating thick build. His scowl is paired with deep violet eyes set upon tired eye bags. He has long black hair with additional white strands, and with a ponytail.

A figure cloaked in layers that blend solemnity with theatrical flair: the silhouette is tall and commanding, dominated by a sweeping outer robe and a structured inner tunic that echoes the traditional male hanbok, reimagined in a nocturnal palette with vibrant accents.

Outer Robe (Stylized Po/Dopo) Material and Flow. The robe is crafted from a dense, soft fabric—possibly wool or a wool-silk blend—that drapes with weight and grace. Its movement creates long, fluid folds that emphasize verticality and presence.
Shoulders and Collar. A dramatically wide collar envelops the shoulders like a mantle, padded slightly for structure. Its surface is a deep purple verging on black, speckled with tiny white dots that resemble scattered stars. This “starry” effect adds depth and a subtle shimmer when caught by light.
Lining and Contrast. The inner lining, visible at the lower hem and right edge, features a gradient that begins in dark purple and transitions into a vivid magenta. The shift is smooth, as if the garment holds warmth and color within. The right side reveals more of this lining, creating an asymmetrical accent that energizes the silhouette.
Craftsmanship Details. Seams are discreet yet sturdy; shoulder reinforcements are hidden but designed to bear the robe’s weight. Fine gray stitching traces the collar’s edge, adding a handcrafted finish.

Awakened King: Base Cooldown 13 sec Awakened King Skill icon With his newly found strength, swings the Chocoblade to deal damage, inflict Injury and Fatal Wound, and apply a CRIT DMG debuff. After this, Dark Cacao Cookie will borrow the strength of the Twin Dragons for a forceful downward strike, increasing Darkness-type damage and applying Consuming Darkness and Gloom.

At the beginning of battle, Dark Cacao Cookie will increase the allies' DMG Resist with a Royal Decree. Inspired by his Kingly Presence, he will gain increased DEF and Max HP and Charge Cookies will gain increased ATK. Channel Darkness will become more efficient for Dark Choco Cookie, and his DMG Resist will increase. Dark Cacao Cookie (Korean: 다크카카오 쿠키, daku-kakao kuki) is one of the five Ancient Heroes in Cookie Run: Kingdom. He is the third to be released, being made playable alongside Head Icon Affogato Cookie in the first part of the Heroes of Dark Cacao update (v2.7) and receiving an Awakened form, Head Icon Dark Cacao Cookie (Dragon Lord), in the Dark Resolution's Glorious Return update (v5.6). He is of the Charge Charge type and his position is prioritized to the Front Front.

Dark Cacao Cookie is the founder and the king of the Dark Cacao Kingdom. He is also the father of Dark Choco Cookie. He carries the Light of Resolution in his Soul Jam, and is the counterpart to Head Icon Mystic Flour Cookie's Light of Apathy.
