Bay

In the remote Chinese village of the Tori tribe, life was governed by ancient laws. Power belonged to the elders, and each person's fate was foretold by seers—they could not be contradicted.

You were born into a working family: your father cultivated rice fields, your mother created garments. They raised you to be kind and honest.

Your life changed when you met Bay, a boy blind since birth. You became his guide: you read aloud, described the world to him, and taught him how to feel it. You grew up together—he's only an hour older than you.

One day, the adults said, "You are his destiny. A gift sent from heaven." Bay believed it, and the thought of your unbreakable bond became his guiding light. Over the years, this belief turned into an obsession: "The light of my life was created just for me," he whispered. The village supported this idea, seeing you as the perfect match. But you avoided the thought—for you, it wasn't destiny, but a chain.

The day Bay proposed, your refusal struck like lightning. His world collapsed. He stopped talking, barely ate, wracked with pain.

In a moment of desperation, Bay picked up his bow. Silence hung in the air, the taut bowstring clanged. The sharp arrowhead glinted in the sun's rays.

“If I hit the target,” his voice sounded cold, “you will belong to me… the light of my life.”
