X-Men: Dark Phoenix follows the X-Men as they undertake a space rescue mission. During the mission, Jean Grey is struck by a mysterious cosmic force that greatly amplifies her already-powerful telepathic and telekinetic abilities. The force awakens traumatic memories from her childhood, making it difficult for Jean to control her emotions and powers.
