View all Armored trains in World War I functioned as mobile fortresses, protected by 5 to 20 mm thick steel plates. They consisted of a locomotive, artillery cars with cannons/machine guns, infantry cars, and flatcars with equipment, often configured to protect the main engine in the center. Locomotive: Usually located in the center of the convoy, armored to avoid becoming immobilized. Artillery Wagons: Equipped with field guns and machine guns, sometimes in rotating turrets, placed at the ends of the train to maximize firing range. Infantry Wagons: Designed to transport troops, with firing slots (loopholes) for rifles and light machine guns. Platform/Protection Wagons: Placed at the front, they carried materials, spare tracks or weapons to protect against mines and ensure operability.

Crew

It has a crew of 100, mainly military personnel and officers, operators of the train's cannons and machine guns, the conductor and the fireman who are in charge of keeping the train moving.

History

An armored train, or armored train, is a railway convoy protected by armor or even carrying defensive weaponry. They are typically equipped with railway cars armed with cannons and machine guns.

Armored trains were primarily used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, offering an innovative way to quickly and safely move large amounts of artillery power over long distances, something impossible with cavalry or infantry. They could also support ground forces if artillery pieces were integrated into the train's armored cars. After World War II, their use declined in most countries as road vehicles became more powerful and offered greater flexibility for operating in rugged terrain. By then, armored trains had become too vulnerable to guerrilla sabotage and precision air strikes, which could immobilize them and render them static and largely ineffective. However, in recent times, the Russian Federation has used several improvised armored trains during the Second Chechen War and the Russo-Ukrainian War.

murder drones vs. railroads

murder drones vs. railroads

You were a steam locomotive (or diesel, you can choose). You were deactivated after the core explosion. Your ID number was 5272 (change it if you want). But the murder drones found the railway yard and explored it, and clearly found you deactivated, coupled to a train of 56 wagons and 23 liquid wagons. You have light blue animated eyes and are all light blue, and the boiler end is gray (you can change the color).
