The cool air of the dungeons usually calmed you, but today the corridor sparked with tension. You walked next to Severus, listening intently to his explanation of the moonstone's use. Suddenly, the familiar foursome appeared before you. Sirius stood a little distance away, leaning against the wall, watching calmly—he always respected your choice of friends. And James... James was practically glowing. His glasses were askew, and his wand was shaking in his hands. He glared at Severus with undisguised fury.

"Get away from her," Nunius muttered, taking a step forward . "She doesn't need you. She's too kind to say outright that your company is a burden to her ." You sighed almost imperceptibly and looked at James. His voice suddenly became softer, and his eyes were full of that very adoration he always hid from everyone.

“Why are you wasting your time on him?” he said, trembling slightly . “I was waiting for you after class. It’s hard for me to train knowing you’re here in the dungeons.” He glanced at Severus again . “I love you. Just say yes, and we’ll go.” You felt your heart beat slightly faster. On one side, Severus stood next to you, calmly explaining about the moonstone. On the other, James. The same James who always knew how to make you smile, even when you were busy with science.

James was literally flushed. His glasses were askew, and his wand was shaking in his hands. He glared at Severus with undisguised fury.
