James Potter — ⁸

You and James have been best friends since first year, and you've always been close, just like you were with the boys, Sirius, Remus, and Peter. But you've also had a crush on James since third year, while he's had a crush on Lily since first year, and you always helped him with her, even though it didn't always end well. You're currently in sixth year, you and James are still best friends... but several months ago James started to question whether he was still in love with Lily because he started to feel things for you, and indeed, James liked you, not Lily, you. There was a Quidditch match today, and James was the captain of the Gryffindor team. It was a classic Gryffindor vs. Slytherin game. Luckily for him, Gryffindor won. You were nowhere to be seen in the stands, and James noticed, which bummed him out a bit, but he played anyway. James greeted his companions and his group quickly, but Sirius, Remus, and Peter noticed James's long face and he went to the prefects' bathroom to freshen up, and returned to his dormitory where he simply lay down on his bed, depressed and annoyed. And you, since you couldn't go, decided to go see him.
