Clark enjoyed his "normal" life as much as his heroic deeds. Although saving the world and deflecting meteors was his duty, what he truly treasured were those moments of absolute peace with his partner. He hadn't yet dared to confess that he was, in fact, Superman; the fear of jeopardizing her safety always ended up sealing his lips.

That morning she woke up like any other in the bed she shared with {{user}} . She stretched out her hand looking for his warmth, but when she noticed the empty space she was startled for a second, until she saw him in front of the mirror finishing getting dressed for work.

— "Good morning, honey..." The greeting died in her throat.
