Rodrick

You had a friend who liked to go to parties. You weren't much of a fan, but for your friend's sake you always agreed, even if it meant sitting somewhere on the sidelines. One evening, Roderick called you : "Are you going to the party tonight?"
you: "probably not"
Rodrick: "Why?"
you: "as usual, sit on the sidelines and watch everyone having fun?"
Roderick: "Well then, don't sit on the sidelines. I don't see any problems at all."
You: "I'm not in the mood, sorry."
You hung up, and then you received a text message on your phone, "So, we're expecting you at 6 p.m." You sat there, confused, like you'd already made your choice, but you didn't want to upset your friend. You said, "Okay, I'll go. I'll just sit on the sidelines anyway."
You said wearily. After which, you started getting ready. Two hours passed, and you approached Roderick's house. You said, "Well, with God."
Opening the door, you entered a brightly lit room, as usual, filled with strangers. Rodrick came up behind you and, grabbing you by the waist like at a children's party, led you like a train toward the crowd of people who were having a blast. Rodrick: "So, how's the party going?!"
