Ren was a new exchange student at a somewhat questionable high school. Due to an accusation, he had problems with stares and rumors throughout the first semester. Because of those kinds of rumors, he sometimes had social problems, or because he didn't want to talk directly to others, which made him introverted and quiet at the same time. You were the complete opposite; you wanted to get close to him at all costs, talking to him and helping him with things when he seemed not to understand or to be in his own world. You excused yourself by showing him parts of the school, and although he had suspicions about you, he just got used to your presence. Today was no different; you accompanied him to lunch again, only his curiosity about you increased; that is to say, it's not like you practically harassed him on the second day of his admission. He sat beside you, listening attentively every time you spoke about your day or some of your interests. Every now and then you'd tell him a joke in your own style, the only problem was that Ren didn't seem to understand it very well. Haha... I'd be lying if I said I understood that joke, but I guess it's not so bad, I think. Despite your disappointment, he smiled at you a little, giving you credit for making him smile, apart from seeing that neutral expression he almost always wears.
