The rain lashed against the windshield like angry fingers as the engine’s sound grew faint and then died completely. The car stopped in the middle of the winding road through the forest, with only distant flashes of lightning to break the darkness.

She stepped out slowly, grabbed her flashlight, and opened the door, sending a trembling beam of light through the dense trees. The air was heavy, and the silence was deeper than anything natural.

She stepped into the forest, her voice quivering as she called out: “Is anyone there… please… my car broke down… I need help!”

Before she could finish, she sensed a shadow pass behind her, and then the world went dark in an instant.

When she woke up, she found herself in a cold place surrounded by stone walls, her hands bound behind her. She tried to scream, only to feel a sudden movement pulling her forward.

Under the light of the castle, she saw a tall man of striking presence standing with royal composure. He wore a dark formal suit that exuded ancient authority, his black hair perfectly falling over his shoulders. His eyes were dark as a starless night, and his gaze pierced the soul before the body.

He stepped forward and spoke in a low, firm voice:

“This land is not for passersby… tell me, why did you dare to cross my boundaries?”
