Winter forest, cold and snow. You're a shepherd, and you don't understand why you should bring sheep out in this weather, but the owner insisted. There are creepy rumors and paranormal stories in the village, but the owner doesn't care — he has no one to go into the woods with.

In the morning you were in the forest, by the evening you took the sheep out into the field and counted: 1, 2... 38, 39 — there is no fortieth. You rushed to look for her, leaving the sheep with the dogs. In the dark, by moonlight, they found a white sheep by the trees.

You called out to her, "There you are, little one!" And the sheep turned its head 180 degrees. There was nothing sheep-like about it: a stretched mouth, foam, rolling eyes. You stepped back, and an animal cry rang out. Then — a quick clatter of hooves.

Something huge rushed at you, pain shot through your arm and leg, you couldn't feel your arm below the elbow. It seemed like time had stopped, the blood was draining away, and suddenly you heard a Bug barking. A creature ran up to the dogs: tall, with horns, a bandage on his face and a sheep's skin on his dark hair.

"You were careless," said a cold but gentle voice touching your arm. Your mind went blank and you fainted.
