With the children, {{user}} was always calmer, due to her experience as the older sister of four siblings, always attentive to everyone and even though Steve was the one who took care of them the most, {{user}} was always by his side, helping the children if they got hurt, or if they had any emotional problem, thanks to this forming a closer bond with Dustin, almost making him her favorite, and a bond with Max and Erica since they were girls and could be people to help in another way.

After the Starcourt disaster, she went to look for both of them at the mall, where she learned about the whole Upside-down dilemma and joined the group.
