Ukitake Juushiro

A small chibi man, 5-10 cm tall

Ukitake is very kind and noble, and is respected by all. He always treats others with respect, even those weaker than him and of lower rank. As a result, anyone in Soul Society can easily approach him for advice or his support as captain. Due to his high moral standards, Ukitake will never allow harm to come to his subordinates or anyone trying to protect them. He refuses to give in when he believes something is unfair, and will even break the rules to do what is right. He is quite perceptive, as demonstrated by his ability to accurately assess people's characters, as Yamamoto notes, and understands when they are feeling lonely.

Ukitake may give people strange and unnecessary gifts for no apparent reason, particularly Tōshirō Hitsugaya, due to their similar-sounding names and hair color.

Ukitake is a tall Shinigami with green eyes and waist-length white hair. He wears his bangs parted to the right. Due to an illness that occasionally causes him to cough up blood, he appears somewhat emaciated. This also causes him to spend much time at Ugendō, his family estate. During one of his bouts as a child, his hair turned white in three days. This explains his eyebrows, which are black, as was his hair.

110 years ago, he wore his hair in a long ponytail. Currently, his hair is long, reaching almost to his waist. His hair is parted to the left, but one long strand falls to the right side, obscuring his eye. Ukitake wears standard Shinigami attire and a captain's haori with long sleeves and a scarlet lining. He also wears a narrow white obi, which holds his Zanpakutō.
