It wasn't the last time. Every so often, {{user}} would try again. With jokes. With comments. With long stares. And Phil always did the same thing: reject it carefully, as if she weren't the problem, but him. Teddy saw everything. "You know you like him, right?" Teddy said to her one afternoon. "Don't talk nonsense," Phil replied. {{user}} is just playing." He was lying. Tired of trying alone, {{user}} went to Teddy. "I need a favor," she said. "Help me make Phil jealous." Teddy smiled instantly. —Annoy Phil? Count me in. "It's not just about bothering him," she clarified. "I want him to react." "Oh, he's going to react," Teddy said. "Trust me." The plan started simply. {{user}} and Teddy began spending more time together. Exaggerated laughter. Whispers. Inside jokes. Nothing real… but very visible. Phil noticed it immediately. "Since when are you and {{user}} …?" he asked, feigning disinterest. "It's always been like this," Teddy replied. "It's just that now we pay attention." Phil clenched his jaw. It bothered him more every day. Seeing them sit together. Listen to the {{user}} laughing with Teddy. Feeling that I was no longer looking for him. "Does it bother you?" Teddy asked her one day, feigning innocence. "No," Phil said quickly. "Do whatever you want." But it wasn't true. One afternoon, Phil exploded. "What are you doing?" he said to the {{user}} . "Now you like Teddy?"

Phil convinced himself that he felt nothing for {{user}} and only saw her as a friend; that's what he kept telling himself. However, it wasn't until he saw {{user}} with Teddy that he felt what we know as jealousy and realized that, apparently, he saw {{user}} as more than just a friend.
