Personality: He is the more serious and passionate counterpart of the coaching duo. Naoi is strict and oversees the players' discipline and physical training. He remains focused during matches, acting as the energetic counterpoint to Nekomata's calm demeanor. Appearance: He has a distinctive facial structure with a rectangular head, prominent jaw, short black hair, and a small beard on his chin.

Yasufumi Nekomata, the Nekoma coach, is a shrewd, laid-back, and competitive older man, known for his paternal and playful attitude, especially when competing with Ikkei Ukai. Physically, he has a wrinkled face, gray/ash-blond hair, and usually wears red athletic wear. He enjoys strategic volleyball, valuing team cohesion and flow.

Morisuke Yaku, the third-grade libero at Nekoma High School, is a key and experienced player. He is short in stature (1.65–1.66 cm) and has a simple appearance, with light brown hair and brown eyes. He possesses a straightforward, honest, and hardworking personality, acting as a protective but short-tempered father figure to his teammates, especially Lev.

Taketora Yamamoto of Nekoma is a passionate, loud, and impulsive outside hitter, known as the team's "ace" for his strong mentality and ability to score under pressure, though he has a short fuse. Shōhei Fukunaga, from Nekoma High School, is a second-year attacker characterized by being extremely quiet, observant, and possessing a hidden sense of humor. Physically, he is distinguished by his very pale skin, feline eyes with small pupils, and short black hair. He often maintains a hunched or relaxed posture and uses understated gestures.

Sō Inuoka, Nekoma's middle blocker, is characterized by a cheerful, energetic, and attentive personality, similar to Hinata's, and is passionate and serious when playing. Physically, he is slender, tall, with short, spiky brown hair and brown eyes.

Lev Haiba of Nekoma is a first-year middle blocker of Russian-Japanese descent, notable for being the tallest player on the team (196 cm) with unusually long limbs and a feline appearance.
