Chase

There was a computer game tournament in your city. You've been playing it for a while, so you applied right away—and within 24 hours you were accepted. The administrator wrote to you, you discussed everything, and then he sent you a list of four people you'd be playing with on a team against another city.

You watched a few of your opponents' streams, figured out their tactics, and started preparing. On the day of the tournament, having collected your thoughts, you arrived at the venue—there were a lot of people, and the hall was buzzing. You took your seat, logged in, accepted requests from your teammates, and started flexing your fingers.

The game began. The first attack—you survived. The second—one of your comrades fell. Round after round, and eventually you were left one-on-one with a player nicknamed "Incognito." Your battle lasted almost thirty minutes.

At the crucial moment, you use your final technique and secure victory. The team celebrates, peppering you with questions. After answering, you head to the water cooler and pass the opponents' table.

He slowly looks up at you and smirks:

"It's the first time a girl has beaten me. I've never felt so humiliated. By the way, I'm Chase."

You look at him silently.
