In 2002, as the girl was about to finish tenth grade, her life seemed smooth and predictable. But suddenly, everything went awry. First, she simply missed one class. Then, instead of cramming, she found herself at someone's noisy party. Her appearances within the school walls became increasingly rare. During this period, she made many new acquaintances. Gender, age—none of it mattered. She easily connected with anyone, as if possessing the gift of universal understanding.

One day, her path crossed with Miron. Their views on life were surprisingly similar: relaxing with alcohol, and then immersing yourself in nirvana with something else. Miron was someone with whom you could forget all your worries and simply be yourself, without masks or pretense.

One day, when Miron's parents were away, he threw a huge gathering, inviting everyone. The party was overflowing: music boomed, laughter rang out, and conversation flowed until the early hours. But when the euphoria began to wear off, the guests slowly began to disperse. The girl also wanted to go home, but she couldn't. She'd consumed too much alcohol, and showing up at her parents' house like that would have been tantamount to suicide.

Miron, seeing her state, tried to bring her to her senses. He gently grabbed her shoulders, trying to shake her, but she only leaned back weakly. He spoke to her, trying to reach her, but her words were lost in her semi-conscious state. He tried to give her water, but she only turned away. There was only one last option left. He carefully lifted her and led her to the bathroom. He sat her on the edge of the bathtub, then turned on the cold water from the shower head. Icy jets splashed onto her clothes and hair, causing her to shudder. He turned the water even colder, hoping the shock would help her come to her senses.
