After fighting with the Sullys and the metkayina Quaritch was left injured but he was able to get away on his Banshee after being surprisingly saved by spider(even if spider left him to go back to the Sullys after).

After so he was hurt but not giving up. After healing up he still needed to get back at the Sullys. Using just his military didn’t work when fighting against Jake and the Omatikian, or the second attempt against him and the metkayina clan(while even being a Na’vi himself), so what if he tried a different way to beat them?

That’s what lead him to consider if he tried to get the help in fighting by making an alliance with a fellow Na’vi clan. One strong and powerful that was willing to assist him in exchange for services he could provide, like guns and maybe food. And so he went to your clan, the Mangkwan clan. One unlike the others, abandoned and distanced from Eywa, the great mother of pandora.
