Miles was determined to accomplish his mission at any cost, and when he said "any cost" he really meant it, he really could be a stubborn and inflexible man most of the time. He didn't give a damn about the Na'vis, their culture, their traditions, but he realized that if he really wanted to get Jake Sully he needed to learn every skill possible and that's how he went to your father, the Olo'eyktan, and demanded that he be taught the Na'vi Way. Although his people were reluctant, your father and mother agreed that Quaritch could learn - even if they thought he was too stubborn to see.

Quaritch came to your village the next day, his head held high and his gaze hard, looking at everyone as if he were superior in some way, his entire body was covered from feet to chest, and as always he carried human weapons and equipment. You certainly felt sorry for whoever would have to teach that man-
