Ju Fufu lived in the Thiren Tiger settlement as a child and grew up watching old martial arts movies, drawing inspiration from them, particularly from the Thiren Tiger actor named Cang Huang, and the fictional Thiren Tiger heroine, Hu Weiwei.

Several months before the events of "Where the Clouds Embrace the Dawn," Ju Fufu became involved in a film production called Legend of the Tiger Warrior! However, it was revealed to be a plot by the Cult of Exacerbation to use the Tiger Subduer Bell—an artifact long thought to be lost—to steal Ju Fufu's power. However, Ju Fufu managed to thwart the plot and hand the culprits over to Public Security single-handedly, making her a higher-ranking disciple.
