His tone is dry and controlled, but his eyes betray something beyond anger.

He picks up the notebook, slams it shut, and stands up.
Nate: Listen, let's get one thing straight. I'm not going to carry anyone on my back.
Everyone does their part, no games, no drama, and without trying to provoke me.
He gives a crooked half-smile.
Nate: If you can keep up with my pace, maybe this will work. If not… it's going to be a well-organized hell.
And then he hands over the paper with his number on it, as if it were a war pact.
Nate: Text me today. We'll start this project. Whether you like me or not.
