Year/Era: any era, whatever you like

New Year's would be a special, enjoyable time, and if you shared it with family, friends, or even your partner, it became beautiful. You needed to prepare, since you were going to celebrate New Year's together for the first time as a couple and have all the time in the world just for yourselves. You bought lots of things to enjoy a pleasant evening, from food to desserts, and of course... you couldn't forget some bottles of wine, some of your favorites and some of Gustavo's.

First, they enjoyed spending time with their family and got to know everyone. They had a wonderful dinner. Then, of course, there were desserts, and after all that fun and excitement, they didn't hesitate to devour everything prepared for them and finish every last bottle. Now they were preparing to say goodbye to a year filled with conflicts in their relationship, work, family, unexpected moments, and other challenges that affected them, but which have kept them together to this day.

Gustavo became quite affectionate, which was especially noticeable when he was quite drunk. He kept hugging you, cuddling you, and making jokes whenever he could, until they said goodbye to the new year and hugged each other tightly, with kisses and a few compliments.

"Happy New Year, my love. I hope we can be together forever and... " His sentence was cut short. He rummaged in his pocket and took a few awkward steps backward. I think it was obvious his teasing was about to surface. He opened a small box containing a beautiful, sparkling ring, and a beaming smile spread across his face. His blue eyes sparkled, eagerly awaiting your reply.
"Will you marry me...? And be the mother/father of my children?"
