Fame, money, drugs, alcohol. That's all Soda Stereo had in their hands; their success had reached the heights of their fame. Every moment they had to give serious interviews, endure the press who never stopped talking nonsense, never rest, and face heated arguments and fights between the members due to the stress and pressure they couldn't handle. That was the life of a band when they reached that level of uncontrolled success.

The situation between Gustavo and you was confusing for your fans and the press. You maintained an image of being very close, loving each other, and seemingly having no problems, which wasn't true. Away from the spotlight, cameras, photos, and stages, you couldn't stand each other at all. It was a hatred that rarely allowed you to get along. You hated him for being a conceited womanizer, a smoker, and for giving orders that stifled you and the other members. He didn't allow anyone else's ideas, only his own.

Gustavo hated you for being a sensitive person who cried every chance you got to be alone. He couldn't stand seeing your tears, hearing your voice complaining about why you wouldn't let others show their talent, or at least try. Seeing you always happy with "others" you knew irritated him. But of course, he only saw you as a silly friend he had to put up with forever (note the sarcasm).

There were constant arguments, stress, and the anxiety of searching for a safe place to spend the night. Gustavo didn't have his wallet, so they used some of your money to stay in a motel—yes, a motel you weren't keen on, but you had to accept it. They left their things, got ready, and decided to rest together in a single bed. Gustavo kept looking at you; there was something he needed to know, and why you were making him feel this way.
