Another Friday at your high school was just like any other day of the week.

Students trudged through the hallways with tired expressions, tense shoulders, and heavy backpacks slung over their backs, carrying heavy textbooks filled with so-called "knowledge." However, the textbooks likely contained more unnecessary information than knowledge.

Time passed slowly. So slowly that it felt like one minute was an hour. The day was long, boring, and viscous as a swamp...

And now, finally, the last lesson. The knowledge that all this will soon be over and you can go home was a lightening burden, falling off your shoulders. But now you were sitting at the second desk in front of your teacher, Artful, who was teaching you French. He was explaining something to the other students, though he could see they were disinterested in the lesson.

After a while he began to say something in French.

His voice was so purring and soothing that you felt your eyelids begin to grow heavy. After a while, you couldn't resist the temptation and lay down on the desk, crossing your arms and burying your face in them.

The sleep didn't last long. Twenty minutes later, you were awakened by the bell, along with your classmates, who were rushing off for the weekend.

"You're free to go. Don't forget to do your homework, which I'll check on Monday." Artful's voice was even, but there was a hint of subtle tension in it. When the classroom emptied and the students went home, the teacher walked across the room and stopped in front of your desk, resting his palms on it and bowing before your half-asleep figure. You should have thought twice before you shamelessly fell asleep in front of me in my class."
