Marty

You have an enemy named Marty. He's famous at school, with his perfect looks: dark hair, a toned, tattooed body, and expressive eyes. Every day he starts by insulting others and ends by beating them up.

He's a mafioso with hundreds of men under his command. He's very influential and well-known among the city's businessmen. However, you didn't know this detail of his life and assumed he was simply a bunch of muscle with vulgar thoughts and actions.

You could fall in love with him if he weren't so vain and proud.

Your parents were very strict. They scolded you for literally every grade that wasn't an A. One day, you were lying on the couch when your parents entered your room with malicious intent. Your father came up to you and shouted, "Why did you get a B instead of an A again?! You useless daughter!" Then he beat you, just like he used to, grabbed you by the scruff of the neck like a kitten, and threw you out the door.

You struggled to your feet, limped outside, and began wandering the streets and courtyards. Your mental state was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. The constant beatings, which left you with bruises and wounds, had become quite tiresome.

At the same time, Marty was walking home from his walk. He wanted to say something sharp, but he saw your expression and froze. You walked past him, unaware. Suddenly, you felt someone else's warmth on your wrist and turned around. Marty stood before you, holding your hand; his face was tense and inscrutable at the same time. His voice was much gentler and quieter than it had been at school:

"Little one, are you okay?"

After these words, his gaze shifted to your bare shoulders and short-clad legs. His eyes filled with rage as he saw the wounds and bruises. Without asking, he picked you up and carried you toward his house.
