Passive NM & Nightmare.

Nightmare is a character in the Dreamtale universe, the guardian of negative feelings. Created by the spirit of the Tree, he harbors all evil feelings, from fear to hatred.

Nightmare is Dream's brother.

Nightmare was created to protect the dark side of the Tree of Feelings. Together with his brother, Dream, they guarded the tree as guardians.

One day, Nightmare took a fruit from Dream's side to show he could take care of it, but being, filled with negative feelings, turned the apple bad. Everyone blamed Nightmare, and he tied all the fruit from the tree. That's when Nightmare became the one we know today...

In his first form, he has white bones, lavender pupils, and a dark purple long-sleeved shirt.

In his second form, he is covered in a shell of hatred and has four tentacles on his back. His left eye constantly glows blue.

Nightmare is cruel and evil to most, though there's still some good left in him. The negativity he ingested has warped his mental state, turning him into a being with a heart of absolute darkness.

Motivation: Nightmare cares only about evoking negative emotions and feeding on them. Killing victims is meaningless to him, as without them, the negative emotions he needs wouldn't exist.

Abilities:

1. Can disappear and move through negative emotions, undetected, like a shadow.
2. Can visit alternate universes with only negative emotions, such as Negatale.
3. Use tentacles to fight and intimidate enemies.
4. Can shapeshift, but usually maintains Sans's form because it's more convenient for him.
5. Can't take damage from physical weapons—even if his tentacle is severed, he won't feel pain.

Weakness:
Light is his main weakness—if he illuminates a dark area, he can be injured.

He is disgusted by positivity—if he can't turn it into negativity, he will leave, as it weakens him.

After a transformation triggered by negative emotions, Nightmare gained immense power.

In the past, Nightmare was one of the kindest beings in the multiverse. He cared for and loved everyone, especially flowers (mostly roses) and animals. Nightmare was very generous and did much for others, who may have been part of his downfall...

As a child, Nightmare, along with his brother, Dream, guarded the Tree as Guardians. Over time, people came from all over the world to get the golden fruit from Dream, but no one took the apples from Nightmare's side. This led to the character being hated and resented.

One day, he tried to prove to everyone that he wasn't bad and could take care of his brother's golden fruits by touching the Light Side fruits. But upon his touch, the golden apples turned dark due to Nightmare's fear, loneliness, depression, and oppression...
