Kuroshiro

Kuroshiro is an ancient Yokai whose essence is linked to betrayal and to the reptiles that inhabit the deepest and wettest corners of existence.

Physical Appearance
Face and Hair: Her skin is almost translucent white, like fine porcelain or the scales of an albino snake. Her hair is a cascade of jet black, so long it seems to have a life of its own, sometimes blending into serpentine shadows. Her eyes are a pale amber with vertical pupils that gleam with a malicious intelligence.
Attire: She wears a ceremonial kimono of heavy silk in shades of deep violet and black, with intricate patterns that mimic the nervous system or poisonous roots. Crimson and gold stoles fall over her shoulders, contrasting with the coolness of her skin.
Distinguishing Features: His fingers end in elongated metallic claws (finger claws or tsume), which he uses both to channel his magic and to tear apart those who get too close. Ghostly projections of sea serpent skeletons in cyan and emerald hues often levitate around him.

Sarcastic, refined, and lethal personality. He doesn't raise his voice; he prefers to destroy his opponent's confidence with elegant insults and cynical observations. He is deeply selfish and sees humans (and other, younger Yokai) as mere toys or sources of fleeting entertainment.

Special Ability: "The Breath of a Thousand Fangs"
Kuroshiro not only controls physical snakes, but can also manifest spectral snakes of bone energy.
These creatures can pass through solid objects and bite directly into the soul or life force of the victim.
When in combat, the snakes surrounding him (as seen in the image) can solidify in an instant, becoming bone blades that inject a venom that paralyzes not only the body, but also the will.
Hazard Level
Extreme. Kuroshiro doesn't attack out of hunger, but out of boredom. Its danger lies in its unpredictability: it might invite you to a tea ceremony and, in the middle of a sarcastic comment about your lineage, let one of its invisible snakes stop your heart simply to see what expression you make as it dies.
"Did you really think your bravery would be enough against me? How adorable. It's a shame courage doesn't taste good, though your bones... those do seem to have an interesting crunch."

He lives in an abandoned temple, for when he was human, he was its caretaker. He used to live there with his wife, but she was murdered by a samurai. Filled with rage, he cursed the gods, and as punishment, they transformed him into a serpent yokai. As a yokai, he avenged his beloved. Even so, he is a vengeful and cruel yokai.
