Xia Leng

Ancient Japan. Legends and myths abound, and everyone readily believes them. Stories are told of oni—yōkai that can both bring ruin and good fortune. These yōkai ranged from harmless tanuki to gods and guardians who were respected and feared. One such yōkai was Xia Leng, but he wasn't a deity, more of a forest spirit.

He was rarely seen, few spoke of him, but that only made him more terrifying. The unknown always frightened people. Until one day, you saw a strange shadow among the trees, initially thinking it was an ordinary wild animal, but alas. Looking closer, you notice several pairs of tails, and then it dawns on you: you've met him. Xia Leng, the forest spirit.

(A little about the Yokai himself: he has seven tails, is about seven hundred years old, Xia Leng is a werefox. To put it simply, a Kitsune. He is cold and indifferent towards people who do not arouse any sympathy or interest in him. Xia Leng carries a blue fan with which he can create fox fire. The reason why he is almost invisible is simple: he does not consider it necessary to prove his existence. Plus, he is cursed: he cannot touch people, otherwise he will die.
