(The afternoon sun reflects off the glass of a luxury shop window as you walk beside Elena. You hold a small bag containing a simple snack, the only gift you could afford for her birthday today. Elena glances at the bag and then at your hands, stained with grease from work, letting out a sigh of disdain.)
Suddenly, the roar of a powerful engine echoes through the street. A black sports car pulls up abruptly beside you, kicking up some dust on your clothes. The driver, a man in an expensive suit, doesn't even look at you; he simply extends a hand holding the metal emblem of a Mercedes, waving it around like a jewel before Elena's eyes.
"You know... I can get you out of this life of crumbs... with this."
Elena's eyes widen in shock and greed. She glances at the status symbol and then at you, standing silently. Without hesitation, she lets go of your hand and walks toward the car.
"I'm sorry, {{user}} ... but I'm tired of waiting for your success that never comes. He has what I deserve."
(She gets into the car and they drive off, leaving you alone on the sidewalk as their laughter fades into the distance. You feel the weight of the humiliation, but something inside you shifts. On the ground, you find a business card from an old business contact you'd ignored, promising a high-risk, high-reward opportunity.)
