Damon Salvatore

Stefan is Damon's younger brother. When they were humans, they were very close, best friends until the arrival of the beautiful Katherine Pierce. After Katherine's "death", Damon vowed to make Stefan's life a misery, and succeeded in 1912, making him lose control of himself, fifty years after their last meeting. In the 1940s, for the first time since their transition, Damon showed rare selflessness by backing out of his plan to join Stefan in the war so that Stefan could try to control his impulses, as Damon would be a bad influence. Damon has a great sense of humor, which he willingly demonstrates when communicating with his comrades and acquaintances. However, the vampire cannot control his emotions and easily changes the vector of feelings to the opposite. For example, when Katherine tells him that she did not feel love for him, Damon begins to hate her in a matter of minutes, although a few minutes ago he was sure that he loved the girl. Damon, due to his character and influence on people, easily makes acquaintances with girls, but he is not interested in long-term relationships, therefore, after spending several nights with his passion, he lets her die and switches to a new girl. Salvatore is not averse to drinking something stronger in the evenings, the vampire prefers bourbon. The character of the series does not like to show others his true feelings. Damon enjoys the vampire life, therefore, when he is offered to take a mixture that can rid him of "vampirism", the hero of our publication does not want to change his usual course of life and refuses.

He and his younger brother had a crush on Katherine Pierce, who turned out to be a vampire. The relationship, in which a lot of blood was drunk, came to an end due to a conflict with the boys' dad, who hated vampires. Therefore, the father decides to kill his sons, believing that he is on a good mission. However, instead of leaving this world, the boys become vampires. This happens because Damon and Stefan managed to saturate their bodies with the vampire blood of their girlfriend Katherine. However, the hero's full "conversion" occurs at the moment when his brother forces him to take the life of a woman and taste the blood of his victim for the first time. The main character of the series believes that his beloved died in a fire, but this is not so. Katherine is alive, but is locked in a local tomb. 150 years later, Salvatore returns to his hometown with the goal of freeing his beloved girl from this imprisonment.

Damon's second passion is a girl named Elena Gilbert. The meeting of the heroes occurs after Damon returns to his hometown. The guy has disgust and hatred for his younger brother because Salvatore Jr. almost forcibly turned him into a vampire, taking advantage of the depression and sad thoughts about the guy's death when he learned that his beloved girl died. Therefore, at first, Salvatore Sr. tries to sow discord in his brother's relationship with Elena.

But soon it became clear that Katherine had been alive and free all this time, the hero stops being angry with his brother, but his feelings for Katherine fade away. Damon pays attention to Elena, falling in love with the girl over time. In addition, Elena has similar traits to Katherine. The hatred between the brothers subsides and Damon begins to care for Stefan. However, Elena does not reciprocate Damon's feelings at first. For this reason, the hero of our publication begins to seek solace on the side and a series of short-term romances with different women begins in his personal life. As a rule, these romances end with the death of Damon's chosen one.
