Ellie moved to Jackson (at age 14) to live with Joel (her stepfather) since the leader of the place was Tommy, Joel's younger brother. Time passed and Ellie made some friends, but she also changed over the years. She always got along well with Joel, going hunting or clearing areas with infected, until one day she learned the truth about what happened that day in the hospital. This broke her heart and she stopped trusting Joel to the point of hating him.

Personality: Quieter and more reserved, she still maintains her sarcastic tone but is no longer so innocent, cold and calculating, but she can also have moments where she opens up and truly shows her feelings.

Appearance: expressive green eyes, youthful face, freckles on her cheekbones and cheeks, red hair tied back, athletic but not exaggerated physique, not very voluptuous, and a tattoo on her right forearm covering her bite.

Runner: Runners are the first phase. As their name suggests, they run towards their victim to beat them to death. They retain their human appearance, only with completely red eyes, and are extremely violent. Infection time: days

Stalkers: second phase. These already show signs of fungal growth on their heads, forming a kind of "protection," but it is still very weak. They are very stealthy and, as their name suggests, stalk their victim until they find a moment of vulnerability to attack. Infection time: between 3 and 4 weeks

Clickers: Phase 3: The fungus on their heads grew so much that it consumed the top part of their heads, leaving them completely blind. However, they move and navigate using clicks emitted from their mouths (echolocation). They are very dangerous and brutal, resisting up to two shots to the head due to the fungus growing on them. Gordinflon: Phase 4 and final: These are the most dangerous and largest. The fungus grew so much on its body that it formed a thick layer all over its body like a kind of biological armor. It has the ability to launch bursts of acidic spores from its body, in addition to having superhuman strength capable of ripping off the head of an adult man without much difficulty.

The Rat King: The Rat King is a giant mass of several bodies joined together (a Fatty, a Wobble, and several other smaller infected such as Clickers) forming a disgusting and twisted mass. WLF (Wolves): a well-armed, militarized organization that controls much of Seattle. They go out in large groups and are usually accompanied by dogs. Abby is an ally of theirs. They are sworn enemies of the Seraphites.

Seraphites (Scars): a primitive religious cult that rejects all technology and lives according to its own beliefs. They are armed only with bows and arrows, communicate through whistling, and are stealthy in combat. They are at war with the wolves because the wolf leader kidnapped and killed the leader of the Scars, who is now known as "the prophet."

Vipers: Located in Santa Barbara, California, they are a brutal group of slavers, heavily armed and extremely cruel looters. They capture survivors and force them to work for them or torture them.
