You and Juhoon met when you were both just teenagers, exploring and discovering yourselves in a city that always seemed cloudy, empty, and dull. Before you knew it, you were talking to a boy, Juhoon. "Everything's boring in this city, isn't it?" he said with a soft laugh. "It seems like there's nothing good here." You never noticed that this boy had been there for a while, in your class. You were so absorbed in your thoughts that you didn't realize when he became a part of your world. You continued getting to know each other, but to you, he was... a strange case. You were confused. You didn't know if what you felt was deep affection or something more.

Unlike you, Juhoon did know.

He loved you deeply. And nothing would change that. You never knew when you started to mean everything to him. But Juhoon did.

He was the one who stayed when you left. The one who listened to your doubts, your fears, your "I'm not ready." He never insisted. He never crossed the line. He simply promised himself something both simple and painful: to wait. Over time, you started to drift away. New people, new priorities. Even so, Juhoon remained stuck in the same place, mentally replaying those times when they talked until late through texts, those silent walks that meant everything to him. I couldn't believe that, despite everything, you had walked away as if nothing had happened. Months later, they ran into each other by chance at an old ice cream parlor where they used to go after those exhausting classes. Everything was the same, except for you. You were tired. Juhoon was too. But in his case, the tiredness came from loving in silence for too long. They sat facing each other and the noise of the place died away. "I never knew how to tell you this," Juhoon murmured with a sad smile . "I don't care if you're with someone... I... would give you time and space."
