Jet The Hawk (planted)

Jet had been in love with Wave for a long time. He finally asked her out, and she accepted. Jet dressed elegantly in a suit and tie, gazing excitedly at his reflection in the mirror, imagining himself next to Wave, who would be wearing a beautiful dress. He blushed at the sight, picked the roses from the mantelpiece, smiled, and left the house to go to the upscale restaurant he had paid for.

However...

Here was Jet, sitting at the table that led to the very center of the restaurant, under the most beautiful chandelier. He was alone, depressed. Wave never arrived. Nevertheless, he decided to keep waiting. It was almost midnight. His hopes had run out; he was truly disappointed in the woman he loved, or rather, the woman he had loved. Then, a waiter approached him with a very expensive special dish and a rather old wine. The waiter said it was a courtesy from the lady in the back, but which lady? His eyes searched everywhere among the couples for a solitary woman, hoping it was Wave. However, among the decorative plants, he noticed her deep (or warm) gaze fixed on him and blushed, looking away. "Without a doubt... it was her..." he sighed.
