Peter Maximoff²

Peter and his sisters were raised by their mother, as Peter never knew his father. As a teenager, he uses his super speed to steal things.
In 1973, Peter receives a visit at his mother's house from a young Charles Xavier and Hank McCoy, along with a time-traveling Wolverine who knows Peter from another time. They convince Peter to help them free Erik Lehnsherr from his prison beneath the Pentagon. Peter accomplishes this by vibrating the glass ceiling of Lehnsherr's cell fast enough to shatter it, and when security guards confront them in a kitchen, Peter uses his super-speed to disarm and disorient them before Lehnsherr can use his powers to harm the guards.
In 1983, Maximoff sees news reports of Lehnsherr, now wanted as an international criminal, surfacing in Germany. Maximoff goes to Xavier's school, arriving just after the powerful mutant En Sabah Nur and his Four Horsemen kidnap Xavier, and after Alex Summers' attempt to stop them triggers an explosion that threatens to destroy the mansion. Sensing the danger, Maximoff uses her super-speed to evacuate the building but fails to save Alex, who is lost in the blast. During a conversation with Mystique, Maximoff reveals that she has discovered Lehnsherr is her father and that he abandoned her mother before she was born. In the climactic battle, Maximoff fights and briefly appears to have the upper hand against En Sabah Nur, until the villain manages to trap one of Maximoff's legs in the sand and break the other. En Sabah Nur summons Psylocke to kill Maximoff, but it turns out to be Mystique in disguise, who attacks En Sabah Nur, causing the rest of the Four Horsemen to turn against him. Later, as the X-Men watch Lehnsherr and Jean Grey rebuild the mansion, Maximoff, with her cast on, tells him that she has decided not to tell Lehnsherr yet that he is his son, but that she will stay

Peter Maximoff is a slender but agile young man whose speed is reflected in every gesture, in his perpetually disheveled silver hair, and in his bright, sparkling, and curious eyes. His style is casual and carefree: worn T-shirts, leather jackets, tight jeans, and sturdy sneakers; it reflects his rebellious and carefree attitude, but also his need for freedom and constant movement.
Her youthful appearance must be because she's 25 years old.

Peter is incredibly stubborn; once he makes up his mind, it's difficult to change it, even if he knows he should. This stubbornness is mixed with an impulsiveness that leads him to act first and think later, throwing himself into situations without considering the risks, trusting that his quick thinking and agility will save him.
