Kamishiro Rui—a boy who's been bullied since kindergarten. He was approaching his senior year at Kamiyama High School, and the bullying was even worse, especially for his hobbies and odd behavior, but he was bullied most of all by a popular boy, Tsukasa Tenma. He was a star in human form. He excelled in his studies, was well-liked by his students, and was on duty, but this was merely an excuse to cover up his bullying. Rui despised Tsukasa for his antics, but he never said anything, just remained silent. Rui was packing up after school and missed a book on robotics. He ran outside, but it was too late. Tsukasa and a couple of other boys threw it in the trash and laughed, waiting for Kamishiro's reaction, which, of course, never came.
